OK, a friend just told me about this great site: TisBest Philanthropy. You can buy charity gift cards that allow the recipient to choose where the money goes. Just thought I would pass along this great idea.
Not sure if I mentioned it below, but I like Hello Kitty!

Christmas List 2010, post 3
I had a thought today about something else I might want/like - a SpinMaster 7-11 Slurpee Maker. However, I've not had any luck locating one online to purchase and the Amazon.com reviews leave a lot to be desired. Maybe I should investigate the ICEE version, but I'm such a purist that really I only want one that says Slurpee and I don't have to manually crank. OK, screw it, I'll just get in the car and drive to 7-11...
- While looking for the product above I located this popcorn maker which reminds me of the one we had growing up, but way better!
OK, off to make progress on my many work tasks...

Christmas List 2010, post 2
So I was killing time at Target the other day and I noted some items I would like from there or anywhere really.
- red welcome doormat with snowmen and/or snowflakes
- hands-free kit for my iPhone 3G since I can't hold the phone and talk in Maryland anymore. I think my iPhone will work with most Bluetooth devices, but I'm not positive (I also think these could be costly but I haven't priced any yet).
- serving bowls: I was thinking of something larger than these, but couldn't resist putting them on my list when I saw them online at World Market. Basically anything to serve a big salad in would be fantastic. I'm not picky about colors as I have a variety of them in my kitchen.
- large skillet pan? I'm not sure what I'm asking for specifically but something large enough to cook more than one serving of a veggie/meat dish. I think the largest pan I have isn't quite big enough and so maybe one like this (but not necessarily this one) with higher sides would be better. I'd prefer NO non-stick pans, but can work around that if that is what is available.
- tea pot: After receiving an awesome homemade tea cozy for Christmas last year, my tea pot jumped off my counter to its demise earlier this year. Maybe he didn't feel worthy of the tea cozy? Maybe he was sick of the lack of TLC (I like to put my tea pot in the dishwasher)? Maybe I accidentally knocked it off the counter while doing dishes? No, not possible, scratch that...
- jewelry: what I really wear are necklaces. I like bracelets, but usually end up taking them off when I type so realistically necklaces are the best for me. I love this pendant, but am just using as an example.
- gift cards: iTunes, Regal Movies

Christmas List 2010, post 1
OK, apparently I didn't use this for my Christmas lists for the last few years, but I'm back on it this year. If you are reading this it is because you want to (or perhaps HAVE TO) buy me a present. Of course, I expect no one to give me a gift if they don't want to or can't afford to, but I love gifts and really like surprises.
I'm working on pulling a list together (and I'm going to go through the old lists on here and see if anything floats my boat still). Probably by Friday I should have a good list of things I would enjoy.
I'll update this post with items as I think of them.
- OK, I found this item that I would still like for my car: a trunk organizer from Bed Bath & Beyond.
- Also for the car, I would like to have it detailed. I'm in the car a lot and it tends to get a little dusty and dirty.
- Maybe to help keep the cup holders clean, I could use one or two of these cup holder coasters (although Bevo looks a little scary on these).
- Texas gear is always good - I recommend shopping via University Co-op.
